The Ajami neighborhood in Jaffa, Israel, is an amalgam of cultures and points of view among Jews, Muslims and Christians. The fragility of human existence is revealed in the closed community of Ajami, where, even defending different positions, its inhabitants must live as neighbors. No place better reflects the contrast between different worlds. Forward and backward in time, and through the eyes of several characters, we witness how difficult this situation is.
